About
FROM HOLLYWOOD WARDROBES TO YOUR CLOSET

The story of how a fashion publisher, a remote ranch, and thousands of movie-studio garments became StyleMonky.
My name is Csaba Fikker, and I’m the founder of StyleMonky.
For most of my adult life, fashion, photography, media and retail have been my world. I spent years working in the Los Angeles fashion industry and was once the owner and publisher of LA Fashion Magazine. I’ve worked with creative teams, photographed fashion, managed businesses, and spent more time around clothes than I probably care to admit.
Then life changed.
Today, I live on a ranch far from Los Angeles. My days are quieter now. There are fewer red carpets, fewer late nights and considerably more dust, fences, tractors and firewood.
And, as it turns out, I like it. But I never really left fashion behind.
How StyleMonky Started
About a year ago, I decided to build a little side business around something I already knew well: fashion.
I had spent years around the fashion and entertainment industries, and I knew there was an extraordinary source of clothing that most people never get to see — the wardrobe departments of movie studios and television networks.
When productions wrap, wardrobe departments eventually have to make room for new inventory. Thousands of garments can move through these departments, from everyday clothing to designer pieces, special occasion dresses, shoes, coats and other remarkable finds.
I started buying some of that inventory.
Then I started selling it.
What began as a side hustle quickly became something much bigger.
I relaunched an old Poshmark store that had been sitting mostly dormant for years. Within a year, that store grew from roughly 5,000 followers to more than 100,000. I began expanding onto other marketplaces and, eventually, the idea for StyleMonky was born.
But the more I did this, the more I realized that I wasn't simply selling used clothes.
I was helping these clothes find another life.
Fashion With a Story
There is something fascinating about a garment that has already lived a life before it reaches your closet.
Some pieces are simply beautiful fashion finds.
Some are designer pieces that originally sold for hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
And occasionally, there is something even more interesting — a garment connected to a film or television production, sometimes still carrying wardrobe department markings or an actor's name.
Imagine finding a dress that originally retailed for $1,000 and bringing it home for $100.
Now imagine recognizing that same dress on a television show someday.
That's the kind of discovery that makes this business fun.
You're not just buying another dress.
You're buying a little piece of the story.
A little piece of Hollywood.
Maybe even a little piece of American pop-culture history.
Why StyleMonky?
I believe great fashion shouldn't have to cost a fortune.
I also believe perfectly good clothing deserves more than one life.
Our goal at StyleMonky is simple: find interesting, beautiful and often unexpected pieces, take the time to photograph and present them properly, and offer them at prices that make sense.
Everything we sell is carefully inspected and professionally prepared before it reaches you. We do our best to describe each piece honestly, including its condition, measurements and any imperfections we find.
We're building StyleMonky around the same things I valued throughout my career in fashion:
Good taste.
Good photography.
Good service.
And great clothes.
Welcome to StyleMonky
StyleMonky is still a young company, and we're just getting started.
What began as a side hustle on a ranch has turned into a much bigger adventure — one that allows me to combine decades of experience in fashion and creative business with a completely new way of living.
We're building a place where you can find something beautiful, unusual and affordable.
Something you might not find anywhere else.
So take your time. Browse the collections. Look closely.
You never know what you'll discover.
And if you happen to find a dress that looks strangely familiar the next time you're watching a movie...
Well, that's part of the fun.
Welcome to StyleMonky.
